The D Diaphragm Compressor uses a diaphragm to separate the compressed gas from the lubricating and hydraulic drive system. The process gas does not come into direct contact with lubricating oil during compression, helping prevent contamination and supporting gas purity requirements of up to 99.999% under suitable operating conditions. Its reliable sealing and high compression capability make the D Series suitable for gases that are difficult to handle with conventional lubricated compressors.
During the suction stroke, the diaphragm moves outward and increases the volume of the gas chamber, allowing gas to enter through the inlet valve. As the diaphragm moves inward, the chamber volume decreases and the gas is compressed. When the gas reaches the required discharge pressure, the outlet valve opens and the compressed gas is discharged.
Because the diaphragm separates the gas chamber from the hydraulic drive section, the compressed gas remains isolated from the lubricating oil throughout the compression process.
